Proud Papa
We got word today that
Mookie was selected to attend Governor's School. She's one of only 200 kids from the state to be selected for the Humanities program.
She's bouncing off the walls at the moment, and even the thought of spending all of July in school and away from home doesn't faze her.

Kids have to be nominated by their teacher's and then go through a testing and essay/interview process to be invited. Basically it's about a month of intense academic study in their field (Science and Tech, International, etc). Looks very good on your college apps, plus it gives the kids a chance to interact with other kids and teachers who love their field as much as they do. Rachael is passionate about her theater work, she is so looking forward to this.
