The solo pilot's #10 plane arcs along its fateful path towards the crowd as the leader and a wingman impact on the far side of the runway.
The Frecce Tricolore solo display aircraft, still moving directly towards the crowd at show center.

The day before the disaster I was photographing the practice sessions from the flightline. The soloist was slow or late in "piericing the heart". In fact the pictures I have show the smoke from the two flights disapating as he finally gets to where he was supposed to be.
On the 28th it looks as if he is too early and too low from the pictures I took from atop Vehicle Ops.

I had been on the ground near the beer tent where one of the planes crashed. I walked away from the tent just minutes before the crash. I rendered care to some of the casualties. The investigation board used some of my photos in the investigation of the accident. It seems that many have forgotten or were too young.
