So much for that rocket launch

BattlePark 2005 in Culpeper, Virginia was a complete personal washout for me. Dammit. Since the field is plowed farmland, I assume that anyone who shows up today is going to be hubcap deep in mud. It rained here all night both Friday and Saturday, which made for good sleeping, but lousy rocketry.

Oh well. That's weather for ya.

1 Ditto! The last time they tried to pull it off after a big rain there where all kinds of people buried in the muck, including a mobil home.I wish they would do another high corn launch like they did a few years ago.It wouldn't be quite the same with the corn, soy, corn, soy thing in this field but it would still be pretty neat.

2 If you like the tall crops, make a summer trip to Whitakers. High tobacco and cotton fields all around, I spent most of a day looking for lost rockets within 50' of the road.
