I forget which channel it was, but it had to be one of those educational ones...
I was puttering around the house last night, half-watching some documentary about teaching youngsters or something like that. This caught my ear:
Boys have a penis. Girls have a vagina.
Anatomy? Sex-ed? Either way, those kids were way too young for that.
Damn.

She's a babe, all right! We'll see you guys at TARC, since Culpeper was a washout. Brian and Valerie are on the staff this year as runners. I get to do checkin, if I can be grumpy enough.

Posting this just above a picture of ...whatever that thing is, is kind of cruel. For just a second, I thought that
was the prom picture.

Oh she's so beautiful! She looks so happy!
Ahhh... it brings back good memories. I hope she had an amazing time.

Right on Rachael. Now don't go staying out all night, boozing it up with your friends, passing out in someone's hot tub after a bout with a large bottle of Mezcal, and then get rudely awakened by your folks the next morning, immediately having to explain the reasons for the lack of your own clothes and the surplus of someone else's. Take it from Uncle bitterman....it just don't pay.
Have a good time, sweetheart.

And to add to Uncle Bitterman's good advice, don't take the limo where the driver is sharing coke with your friend in the front seat. Just saying.
You look lovely!

Awww, she's a vision -- very classy and elegant. I love the dress, the jewelry, the hair. Damn it, I think I'm going to cry. *sniffle*

So much for that rocket launch
BattlePark 2005 in Culpeper, Virginia was a complete personal washout for me. Dammit. Since the field is plowed farmland, I assume that anyone who shows up today is going to be hubcap deep in mud. It rained here all night both Friday and Saturday, which made for good sleeping, but lousy rocketry.
Oh well. That's weather for ya.

Ditto! The last time they tried to pull it off after a big rain there where all kinds of people buried in the muck, including a mobil home.I wish they would do another high corn launch like they did a few years ago.It wouldn't be quite the same with the corn, soy, corn, soy thing in this field but it would still be pretty neat.

If you like the tall crops, make a summer trip to Whitakers. High tobacco and cotton fields all around, I spent most of a day looking for lost rockets within 50' of the road.
